Have both supported D.I.G. In their quest to reduce the carbon footprint of the Village Hall by better than 50%!
This has been a long journey, starting back in 2006 when Biomass engines were considered and Jim Murphy found them to be too expensive and not the right answer for our needs, However, I kept in contact with Paul Phare of Real-Alternatives and with his help contacted Georgy Davis and Karen Paterson of C.E.S. and they helped D.I.G. via Katy Crowson through the complex Grant process.
A Grant was made by C.E.S. on the 26-2-2009 and the primary equipment orders were made within a few days.
The following pages tell the story.
